Dilaudid

All the chickens come on home to roost
Plump bodies blotting out the sky
You know it breaks my heart in half
When I see them trying to see them fly
'Cuz you just can't do things your body wasn't meant to
Hike up your fishnets, I know you

Lost in Rome

"All These Things I've Done" by The Killers

When I watch this video I think about:

  • That night in Rome.
  • The small TV: speaking really fast Italian I couldn't understand..hanging from the corner of the shack of a room my Brother, Sister and I stayed in for one terrible night.
  • My brother sleeping on top of the covers, at the nasty Rome whore house.

"I am not sleeping under the sheets"
...while substituting layers of his sweaty clothes as a blankets.
(He doesn't where deodorant (ProChoice!) and is Always UnSure).

  • My sister laying next to me sulking/missing her boyfriend.
  • Me sprawled out on the Rome slut bed, next to my grumpy sister, crying about everything including:
  • The really bad sandwich I had for dinner.
  • The gypsies that were ready to pounce on my unassuming Mom and Dad the minute we stepped outside.
  • Feeling infested, nasty, uncultured and caged in whore house.
  • My Un-medicated Mom and Dad.
  • The hours we had to stay in the Rome Police station because my Dad didn't have his passport. (and we were sleeping on the street if Rome police dept. didn't have pity on us)
  • My Dad's explosive temper and display of a madman earlier that day at the crowded Bus Stop.
  • Looking like lost American tourists.
  • The day consisting of:
... For every 15 minutes of walking, there was 4 hours of sitting so my Dad could rest his torn ACL (to be continued...)

~~~~~~~~
I cried and cried and it felt so Good
and so Bad.
Until
I heard this song playing on MTV Europe.
Brandon Flowers and his shower scene cured my tears...
I laugh and laugh now
...most of the time
